Fernhill Adventure and Wasting Light pulled out all the stops at Blenheim last week! Wasting Light at just 8yrs old and having done his first advanced in July, finished 6th out of 65 starters in a very hot CIC*** for 8/9yr olds. He did a good test for a 47 - he was a little greener than Millstreet and wasn't quite as balanced but I think this was due to being back on grass rather than surface. I am hugely disappointed to say that we have had to withdraw Jimmy from the Europeans at Blair. He has picked up a bang to a joint in training which looks like it will need a couple of weeks rather than a few days to settle properly. Thankfully it is nothing serious and all scans and X-rays are clear, but we cannot risk him carrying a knock into a Team Championships because of the potential for serious injury, and also the risk to the team.

What a venue and what a competition.The course at Millstreet was the most beautiful I have ever ridden around and I was delighted to be there for its inaugural three star event.
